Our Purpose
Healing Through Connection
CAAWS is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to strengthening wellness and cultural reconnection. Through land-based healing, workshops, private sessions, sober and recovery events, ceremony, and youth mentorship, we honour the traditions that guide us toward wholeness.
While our founders are of Metis heritage and dedicated to traditional healing and the old ways, our offerings are open to everyone seeking wellness and connection.

Jamie-Lee Keith
Omand, Bruce, Keith. McKenzie Clan.
Jamie grew up in Kamloops BC and moved to Langley to study at Trinity Western University. Graduating with a degree in History, she then received her Bachelor of Education program at UBC and in 2020 earned a master's degree in educational leadership, in 2022 she graduated law school from TRU. For over a decade Jamie has volunteered in the aboriginal community with homeless and at-risk youth. Jamie comes with a wealth of experience including Communications Director at Two Rivers Metis, Region Three Youth Representative at Metis Nation British Columbia, President of the Indigenous Law Students Association, and leader of the South Okanagan Metis Association. Jamie currently runs Ahkaamaymowin Law, which is the first exclusive Metis law firm, as well as the Governance Manager & In House Legal Counsel for Adams Lake Indian Band.
Raina Lutz
Spence, Whitford, Sarcee, Paquin di Pocha, Glineau, Lanoue, LaPointe, Poirier. Clan Hamilton.
Raina grew up in Osoyoos BC and moved to Vancouver to study holistic nutrition. After receiving her diploma she developed further studies in traditional and fermented foods, cognitive behavioural therapy, mental health and a traditional healing medicine path, working with Celtic, Cree and Metis medicine healers after integrating many of life's darkest initiations. Raina's work blends that of trauma healing, wisdom keeper, Seer, Soul medicine and psychology. For over a decade Raina has volunteered with many non profits, including JCI (Junior Chamber) and others' focused in youths' healthy body image, food sovereignty and the arts. Raina comes with a wealth of experience in the wellness and healing world, as an award-winning speaker and coach/consultant, a podcast host and writer, and having facilitated circles and ceremony for over a decade, she is passionate about restoring "The Old Ways" to modern life.
Laura Klubi
Houge, Tonneff. Cameron, Malcolm clans.
Laura grew up in the Okanagan, BC. After overcoming life's most difficult trials of grief, chronic disease and getting clean, Laura's work honours the body mind and soul connection while blending intuitive sight with grounding support. With over 25 years sobriety, Laura stepped into a role of a guide, bone keeper and ancestral wisdom keeper. For over two decades Laura has acted as a space holder and sponsor for those in recovery, getting clean from alcohol and drugs. Laura comes with a wealth of experience in mentorship, communication and medicine making. Her calm demeanor is more of what's needed in the world, as well as a welcome addition to the board and events she will help facilitate.
Cameron McRae
Cameron grew up in Osoyoos and later moved to the Christian Valley. He has worked in the fruit industry and logging, and brings over a decade of lived experience in recovery, which has shaped his commitment to supporting individuals and communities. Through this journey, Cameron founded a business focused on improving air quality and bringing clean air solutions to First Nations communities. For over 10 years, Cameron has volunteered with recovery groups, serving as Chairman for the South Okanagan and contributing in numerous other service roles. His work reflects a strong dedication to community, service, and supporting others in their recovery journeys. Cameron brings a wealth of experience in business development, leadership, and community outreach, with a focus on building relationships and supporting the well-being of the communities he serves.
Lyn J. Lutz
Smith, Young, Spence, Whitford, Paquin di Pocha, Glineau, Lanoue, LaPointe, Poirier
Lyn grew up in an Air Force family and lived in Zweibruken, Germany, in Prince George BC, in St. Margaret AF base in NB and then in Osoyoos BC. She moved to Calgary for 8 years and worked in HR and recruitment, then moved back to Osoyoos BC to start a family and had a daughter and son. She and her husband ran a gift shop until 1991. She then worked for a local concrete company and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for 22 years. Lyn brings a wealth of experience in communication, administration, book keeping and interpersonal experience from being in her local Union, including President. She has volunteered in the past for the Red Cross and the Good Shepherd Christian School.
